Kristina Andres

Kristina Andres (born 1971 in Greifswald) first studied art history and literature in Hamburg, then studied fine art, specializing in painting and drawing, at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg. She completed her degree there under the Norwegian artist Olav Christopher Jenssen. From 2002 onward, she worked as a freelance artist. She is an author and illustrator of children's books, with etching cited as her preferred technique. Her books have received several awards, including recognition from the German Academy of Children's and Young Adult Literature. In 2016, she was invited to the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
