Bettina Obrecht

Bettina Obrecht was born in Lörrach in 1964 and studied English and Spanish. She is an author and translator and worked as a freelance contributor to radio. From 1994 onward, she published nearly sixty books for children and young adults; her books have been translated into numerous languages. She also wrote for adults, including radio plays, radio features, rock songs and stage works. Her short prose and poetry received several awards.
