Thilo Krapp

Thilo Krapp (born 1975 in Herdecke, Germany) is an illustrator and author. He grew up in Hagen and studied communication design with a focus on illustration in Wuppertal. His work includes children’s books, comics and graphic novels, including adaptations of H. G. Wells’s “The War of the Worlds” and Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.” In 2017, he received the Rudolf Dirks Award for best literary adaptation for “The War of the Worlds.” From the age of five, Krapp drew self-invented stories, often featuring ducks as characters.
