Sabine Lipan

Sabine Lipan, born in Bielefeld in 1958, studied to become a teacher and passed the second state examination. She briefly worked as a teacher before becoming, among other things, a journalist, advertising copywriter, speechwriter, public-relations officer and big-band manager. Her first children’s book, Die Weihnachtsmütze, was published in 2005. She subsequently published children’s books, nonfiction and stories with various publishers. Das geheime Eisrezept was described as her first children’s mystery novel. According to Lipan, the idea for her first children’s book arose when small aliens landed on her son’s shelf.
