Angela Eßer was born in Krefeld, studied theatre studies and worked in the theatre before turning to crime fiction. She wrote numerous short crime stories, organized crime festivals and edited several crime-fiction anthologies. Her short story “6 Uhr 23 Guten Morgen, München” was nominated for the Friedrich Glauser Prize. Eßer was a member of the SYNDIKAT authors’ association and served as its spokesperson for seven years. Her edited publications include “Mordsappetit” (2012), “Nicht nur der Hund begraben” (2014) and “Tatort Oberbayern” (2015); she also wrote “Menüthek Krimi: Ein perfekter Themenabend” (2015).
