Anja Eichbaum

Anja Eichbaum is from the Rhineland and trained as a social worker. She worked for many years in a leadership role in child and youth services. Her background also includes nursing training and an unfinished degree in German studies, both of which influenced her literary work. She began publishing her writing in 2015, including short stories and novels; her debut, “Inselcocktail,” was published in 2017. Eichbaum primarily writes crime novels set in places including the East Frisian island of Norderney and the Baltic coast. Her love of the sea is a recurring element in her work.
