Christian Steinbacher

Christian Steinbacher, born in 1960 in Ried im Innkreis, Austria, is an author, curator, and editor. From 1984 onward, he worked in these fields, and his books have been published since 1988. He began in the context of visual and conceptual poetry and published poetry, poetic prose, audio texts, and essays. He also produced collaborative works with other artists, including the composer Christoph Herndler. His awards include the Wartholz Literature Prize (2010) and the Heimrad Bäcker Prize (2013).
