Birgit Kreipe

Birgit Kreipe, born in Hildesheim in 1964, studied psychology and German studies or modern German literature in Marburg, Vienna and Göttingen. She initially worked as a bookseller and later as a psychotherapist and translator of poetry. Her poetry collections include “schönheitsfarm” (2012), “SOMA” (2016) and “aire” (2021). Her poems have appeared in journals and anthologies and have received the Munich Poetry Prize and the Irseer Pegasus. In 2018, Kreipe was a finalist for the Meran Poetry Prize.
