Nicolas Berg

Nicolas Berg, born in 1967, studied history, German literature and Slavic studies in Freiburg im Breisgau. He worked as a research associate and later as a senior research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow in Leipzig. His research has focused on historiography and the history of scholarship, German-Jewish history, and cultures of history and memory. Berg co-edited the volume »Shoah. Formen der Erinnerung. Geschichte, Philosophie, Literatur, Kunst« (1996). His book »Der Holocaust und die westdeutschen Historiker. Erforschung und Erinnerung« was published in 2003.
