Ulrich Blumenbach

Ulrich Blumenbach, born in Hanover in 1964, studied English, German and history in Münster, Sheffield and Berlin. From 1993 onward, he worked as a literary translator from English and American English into German. He translated works by, among others, David Foster Wallace, Agatha Christie, Stephen Fry, Jack Kerouac, Anthony Burgess and Dorothy Parker. In 2010, he received the Leipzig Book Fair Translation Prize for his translation of David Foster Wallace’s novel *Infinite Jest*, published in German as *Unendlicher Spaß* (2009).
