Dieter Ziegler

Born in 1956, Dieter Ziegler is a German historian of economic and business history. In 2003, he took up the chair of economic and business history at Ruhr University Bochum. His research has focused on banking and monetary history, industrialization, and the economic and business history of the “Third Reich.” His publications include “Die Industrielle Revolution” (2005), “Die Dresdner Bank und die deutschen Juden” (2006), and the fourth volume of “Geschichte des deutschen Bergbaus,” titled “Rohstoffgewinnung im Strukturwandel. Der deutsche Bergbau im 20. Jahrhundert” (2013).
