Benedikt Stuchtey

Born in 1965, Benedikt Stuchtey was deputy director of the German Historical Institute in London from 2004 to 2013. In 2013, he took up a chair in modern and contemporary history at Philipps-Universität Marburg. His scholarly work focuses on the history of colonialism and imperialism, the history of knowledge and knowledge transfer, and the history of family and childhood since the nineteenth century.
