Christa Unzner

Christa Unzner was born in Berlin in 1958. After training as a window dresser, she studied commercial graphics at the Fachhochschule für Werbung und Gestaltung in Berlin from 1976 to 1979. She subsequently worked at an advertising agency and created her first book illustrations alongside this work. From 1982 onward, she worked as a freelance illustrator. Her main areas of work included children’s and schoolbooks, and she illustrated more than 100 children’s books.
