Alexandru Bulucz

Alexandru Bulucz (born 1987 in Alba Iulia, Romania) spent his first 13 years there before studying German and comparative literature in Frankfurt am Main. He works as a poet, translator, critic, and editor. His poetry debut, “Aus sein auf uns,” was published in 2016. For poems from “was Petersilie über die Seele weiß,” he received the Wolfgang Weyrauch Promotional Award in 2019; he was awarded the Deutschlandfunk Prize in 2022 and the Hölty Prize in 2024. His translations from Romanian include Alexandru Vona’s early literary work, published as “Vitralii. Frühe Gedichte und Prosa” in 2014.
