Clemens Meyer was born in Halle (Saale) in 1977. He became known as a writer and screenwriter. His debut novel, »Als wir träumten«, was published in 2006. It was followed by works including the story collection »Die Nacht, die Lichter« (2008), »Gewalten. Ein Tagebuch« (2010), the novel »Im Stein« (2013), »Der Untergang der Äkschn GmbH« (2016), and the stories »Die stillen Trabanten« (2017). His later publications include the novel »Die Projektoren« (2024). Meyer received, among other honors, the Leipzig Book Fair Prize, the Bremen Literature Prize, and the Lessing Prize of the Free State of Saxony.
