Alexa Stein was born in Nuremberg in 1966. She moved to Bremen in 1990, where she became a writer. She has worked as a guest lecturer in creative writing at the University of Bremen and took over the direction of the crime fiction festival “Prime Time – Crime Time” in 2011.
