Regula Venske (born 1955 in Minden) is a German writer and literary scholar with a doctorate. She published novels, novellas, short stories and essays, and also worked as a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Hamburg and as an editor at the University of London. In 1988, she completed a doctorate on representations of men in women’s literature. Her novels and stories received, among other honors, the Oldenburg Young Adult Book Prize, the German Crime Fiction Prize and the Lessing Fellowship of the Senate of Hamburg.
