Thomas Sarbacher (born 1961) began his acting career with the Bremer Shakespeare Company, where he was a member of the ensemble for several years. He subsequently took guest engagements at theatres in Konstanz, Zurich and Hamburg. From 2000 onward, he also worked in film and television; he became known to a wider television audience in 2002 as the chief inspector in the crime series “Der Elefant – Mord verjährt nie.” His film roles include “Underdogs” and “The Wave” (“Die Welle”). Sarbacher also worked as a voice performer for literary readings, radio plays and audiobooks, including “Die Zeit der Gaben,” “Kains Opfer,” “Das Ende vom Lied” and “Luftgänger.” He also developed theatre productions for performances in Zurich.
