Ralph Schock

Born in 1952, Ralph Schock studied German and philosophy. From 1977 to 1984, he was a research assistant at Saarland University, where he completed his doctorate in 1984 with a dissertation on Gustav Regler. From 1987 to 2017, he worked as a literary editor at Saarländischer Rundfunk and ultimately headed its literature department. Schock published literary, journalistic, and scholarly works on German-language literature, exile literature, and the regional and literary history of Saarland. He edited the book series »Spuren« and co-edited the Gustav Regler critical edition. His books include »Kaffeeschmuggler und Steckdosenmäuse. Eine Kindheit in den 50ern« (2017).
