Paula Irmschler was born in Dresden in 1989. She moved to Chemnitz in 2010 to study and later went to Cologne, where she initially worked as a cloakroom attendant while writing for publications including Jungle World, Missy Magazine, Musikexpress and Neues Deutschland. From 2017, she wrote a column for Neues Deutschland, mostly on feminist topics. In 2018, she became an editor at Titanic and worked as a writer for Jan Böhmermann’s ZDF Magazin Royale. Her debut novel, Superbusen, was adapted for the stage. It was followed by the novel Alles immer wegen damals.
