Nora Bendzko

Born in Munich in 1994, Nora Bendzko is an author and editor. She studied German philology in Vienna and initially published the dark-fantasy series “Galgenmärchen,” comprising “Wolfssucht,” “Kindsräuber,” and “Hexensold.” “Wolfssucht” reached the top five of the German Phantastik Prize in 2017; “Kindsräuber” placed among the top three for the Seraph’s Best Independent Title category in 2018, while “Hexensold” was nominated for the same award in 2019. Her publishing debut, “Die Götter müssen sterben,” was released by Droemer Knaur in 2021. Bendzko comes from a partly German, partly Moroccan family and has also performed as a singer in metal bands such as Nightmarcher.
