Naika Foroutan (born 1971) is a social scientist. Her academic career includes a professorship in integration research and social policy at Humboldt University of Berlin, as well as leadership roles at the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) and the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM). Her work has addressed migration, integration, post-migrant societies, perceptions of Islam and Muslims, racism, and collective identity. She also became known for her public intervention in the Sarrazin debate. Her distinctions include the Berlin Integration Prize and the Fritz Behrens Prize for outstanding research.
