Massimo Perinelli

Massimo Perinelli (PhD) is a historian and author. From 2001 to 2016, he conducted research and taught at the University of Cologne, focusing, among other subjects, on US history and film history. His research interests include the history of gender, sexuality and racism, as well as the relationship between film and history and between humans and animals. His professional positions have included serving as a migration adviser at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. Together with Lydia Lierke, he edited the anthology *Erinnern stören – Der Mauerfall aus migrantischer und jüdischer Perspektive* (2020). He was a co-founder of the initiative »Keupstraße ist überall« and a co-initiator of the tribunal »NSU-Komplex auflösen«.
