In 1985, Muhsin Omurca co-founded the Turkish-German cabaret group KNOBI-BONBON: “Nix gelogen valla!” with Sinasi Dikmen. After twelve years and around 1,500 performances, he pursued a solo career. In 1998, he received the German Cabaret Special Award for his debut program, “Tagebuch eines Skinheads in Istanbul.” Omurca published, among other works, the cartoon collection “Matchball-Tennis Cartoons” (1991), “KANAKMÄN – tags deutscher nachts türke” (2002), and the radio play “HÜSNÜ – Der getürkte Deutsche” (2002). His drawings and cartoons were shown in numerous exhibitions and received several international cabaret and caricature awards.
