Jin Haritaworn

Jin Haritaworn is an Associate Professor of Gender, Race and Environment at York University in Toronto. Haritaworn’s research and teaching address gender, sexuality and transgender studies, critical race and ethnic studies, and urban studies. Their work focuses on gay imperialism, homonationalism, queer gentrification and criminalization, and trans and queer-of-colour spaces. Haritaworn is the author of “Queer Lovers and Hateful Others: Regenerating Violent Times and Places” (2015) and co-editor of “Queer Necropolitics” (2014) and “Queering Urban Justice: Queer of Colour Formations in Toronto” (2018). They also co-produced “Marvellous Grounds” (2018).
