Marion Tiedtke

Marion Tiedtke is a dramaturg and professor of acting. After studying philosophy, German literature and history in Freiburg and Berlin, she began her theatre career in 1989 as an assistant at the Schaubühne in Berlin. She subsequently held permanent positions at the Schiller Theater Berlin, Theater Bremen, the Bavarian State Theatre, the Vienna Burgtheater and the Münchner Kammerspiele. From 2007 to 2017, she was director of acting training at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts; she then served for three seasons as deputy artistic director and chief dramaturg at Schauspiel Frankfurt. She also worked as a guest dramaturg for opera and published articles in specialist journals and books.
