Line Hoven, born in Bonn in 1977, worked as a comic artist and illustrator. Her first book, the graphic novel »Liebe schaut weg« (2007), was translated into several languages and received multiple awards. Among other honors, she received the ICOM Prize at the 13th International Comic Salon in Erlangen; in 2010, she was awarded the e.o.plauen Förderpreis. Hoven illustrated several books by Jochen Schmidt, including »Dudenbrooks«, »Schmythologie« and »Paargespräche«. Her scratchboard drawings appeared in magazines and newspapers including ORANG, STRAPAZIN, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Le Monde diplomatique.
