Jason Bartsch

Jason Bartsch, born in Solingen in 1994, is a writer, musician, and moderator. He received the Postpoetry Prize in the emerging poetry category in 2012 and was a finalist in the German U20 championships and a semifinalist in the German-language Poetry Slam championships in 2013. His poetry was recognized at the Treffen Junger Autoren in 2013 and 2015, and in 2014 he was longlisted for the PEN International New Voices Award. In 2015, he received North Rhine-Westphalia’s literary advancement award for emerging artists. Bartsch writes and performs poetic stage texts, including projects developed in collaboration with ARTE, WDR, the SWR Symphony Orchestra, and the American Institute.
