Ina Nitschke

Ina Nitschke first trained as a dental technician before studying dentistry and earning a doctorate. From 1984 to 2000, she worked in research at institutions including Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin, and Leipzig University. Her specialist fields included prosthodontics and geriatric dentistry. In 2000, she became head of the senior dentistry division at Leipzig University. She served as president of the German Society for Geriatric Dentistry in 2002, earned a Master of Public Health in 2004, and completed her habilitation in 2005. From 2006, she headed the Clinic for Geriatric and Special-Needs Dentistry at the University of Zurich; in 2009, she was appointed adjunct professor at Leipzig University.
