Helmut Kellershohn studied history and Catholic theology in Bonn and taught at a secondary school in Moers until his retirement. He was a founding member of the Duisburg Institute for Language and Social Research (DISS), where he also worked, and was involved in the AK Rechts. His publications focused particularly on the New Right, the newspaper Junge Freiheit, the Institute for State Policy, neoconservatism, and völkisch nationalism. His edited volumes include Kulturkampf von rechts (2016) and Das Gesicht des völkischen Populismus (2018).
