Fritz Reheis

Fritz Reheis (born 1949) is a German sociologist and educational scientist. He studied German, history, social studies, education and philosophy, earned a doctorate in sociology and completed a habilitation in education. Reheis worked as a secondary-school teacher and spent ten years as a university lecturer in political education at the University of Bamberg. His writing has focused in particular on time, acceleration and deceleration. His books include *Entschleunigung: Abschied vom Turbokapitalismus*, *Die Kreativität der Langsamkeit* and *Wo Marx Recht hat*. He was also a founding member and board member of the German Society for Time Policy.
