Fritz Oser

Fritz Oser was a professor of educational science and educational psychology at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, where he became professor emeritus. His research focused on negative knowledge and the culture of mistakes, the psychology of failure, moral and civic development, and the assessment of teaching competencies. He also studied learning from mistakes, failure in start-ups, the ethics of professional practice, and competency modeling for trainers and educators. Oser held two doctorates and received multiple honorary doctorates.
