Friederike Beier

Friederike Beier is a social scientist and political scientist. Her areas of work include feminist and materialist political theory, social reproduction, care work, and global governmentality. From 2012 to 2016, she worked, among other roles, as the equal opportunities officer at Alice Salomon University, as a senior civil servant in the Berlin Senate, and as an expert on gender and human rights at the European Commission. Beier co-edited the collection “materializing feminism. Positionierungen zu Ökonomie, Staat und Identität” (2018) and edited the series “Theorien und Kämpfe der sozialen Reproduktion.” She has a daughter.
