Elisabeth Schlammerl

Elisabeth Schlammerl (born 1962) studied business administration in Munich. After completing a traineeship at the Münchner Merkur, she worked there as a sports reporter for twelve years before joining the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 2002. She has worked as a journalist and co-authored several sports biographies, including one about Giovanni Trapattoni. Her focus on football grew out of a longstanding passion for the sport; she had followed the Bundesliga closely on television since the age of ten.
