Agnes Maier

Agnes Maier (born 1993 in Graz) is an Austrian slam poet and author. She began performing her own texts at poetry slams in 2015. In 2017, she won the Austrian championships both individually and as part of the team competition with “Kevin,” the slam team she founded with Klaus Lederwasch. She also won the Styrian-Carinthian state championship twice. Her first collection of texts, “Veni, Vidi, Vulva,” was published by Lektora in 2018. Alongside her literary work, Maier worked as a qualified midwife.
