Wolfgang Siano

Wolfgang Siano, born in Lingen/Ems in 1948, studied art history in Cologne and Berlin. He taught art history at the Berlin University of the Arts, the Konrad Wolf Film School in Babelsberg, and the School of Architecture in Potsdam. He curated numerous exhibitions in Berlin, elsewhere in Germany, and France, and published texts and catalogues on artists. He also edited the “bübül art books” series and published several essays in it. His main interests included the relationship between art and material and the question of how art can be discussed with shared reference points in a globalized art world.
