Walter Isaacson

Born in 1952, Walter Isaacson worked as a journalist and writer. After beginning his career at the Sunday Times, he joined Time magazine, becoming its editor in chief in 1996. He later served as an executive at CNN and led the Aspen Institute from 2003 to 2018. He subsequently taught history at Tulane University. As a biographer, he wrote books about Benjamin Franklin, Henry Kissinger, Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and Jennifer Doudna. His biography of Steve Jobs became a worldwide bestseller. In 2021, Isaacson received the National Humanities Medal.
