Ulrike Seeberger, born in 1952, studied physics and spent ten years in Scotland, where she worked at the Goethe-Institut, among other roles. From 1987, she worked as a freelance translator and interpreter in Nuremberg. Her German translations include works by Philippa Gregory, Vikram Chandra, Greg Iles, Oscar Wilde and Charles Dickens.
