Annabel Abbs

Annabel Abbs is a writer and journalist. She studied English literature and headed a large marketing consultancy before beginning her writing career. Her short stories received considerable acclaim. Her historical fiction and biographical novels about women have won several awards, including multiple awards for her debut novel, *The Dancer of Paris* (*Die Tänzerin von Paris*). Her biographical novel *Frieda*, about Frieda von Richthofen, was named a *Times Book of the Year*.
