Tracy Hickman

Tracy Hickman (born 1955) grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. After high school, he spent two years serving as a missionary in Hawaii and Indonesia. In 1984, the game publisher TSR acquired two of his role-playing modules, including the concept for Dragonlance. The following year, Hickman met author Margaret Weis. Together, they created several internationally successful novels and laid the foundation for the Dragonlance fantasy and role-playing series. Hickman worked both as a role-playing game designer and as a writer.
