Margaret Weis

Margaret Weis (born 1948) graduated from the University of Missouri in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing. She then worked for 13 years at a small publishing house in her hometown of Independence before joining TSR in 1983. There she met game designer Tracy Hickman in 1985. Together, they established the Dragonlance fantasy setting and novel series with the “Dragonlance Chronicles” and wrote several works set in that world. Weis also worked on other projects, but returned repeatedly to Dragonlance.
