Thomas Wiedling, born in Munich in 1962, studied German and Slavic studies in Munich, Freiburg and Moscow. In 1989, he graduated from the German School of Journalism in Munich. He worked as a literary translator from Russian and received several awards for his literary work. He was also a member of the translation collective “Hammer & Nagel”.
