Swantje Lichtenstein

Swantje Lichtenstein (born 1970 in Tübingen) is an author, literary scholar and artist. She studied German literature, philosophy and sociology and earned a doctorate in Cologne with a dissertation on recent German poetry. From 2007 onward, she taught literature, text and aesthetic practices as a professor at Hochschule Düsseldorf. Her work spans literature, art and theory and includes poetry, essays, conceptual texts, recordings and transmedial sound art. Her publications include Das lyrische Projekt, Landen, Horae, Kommentararten and Geschlecht. Schlagen vom Schlage des Gedichts. She also translated poetry and theory and worked as a DAAD lecturer at the University of Delhi.
