Slawomir Mrozek

Sławomir Mrożek (1930–2013) was a Polish writer, playwright, and caricaturist. He studied architecture, art history, and Oriental studies, and began his career as a successful caricaturist before turning to literature. In 1957, he published his first book of satirical stories. He gained international recognition primarily through plays such as Tango, The Emigrants, Police, and Striptease, which are among his best-known works.
