Sefi Atta was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1964. She trained as an accountant in Nigeria and England and studied creative writing in Los Angeles. Her short stories and radio plays have received numerous awards. Her novel *Everything Good Will Come* received the Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature.
