Sebastian Barsch

Sebastian Barsch, born in 1975, studied history, special education, philosophy and literary studies in Cologne and Hagen. He earned a doctorate in history and history education at the University of Cologne and initially worked as a special-needs teacher and in teacher education. From 2016 to 2022, he was Professor of History Education at Kiel University before moving to the University of Cologne. His research focuses on inclusive and diversity-oriented history education, historical learning, material culture, the professional development of history teachers and disability history.
