Samanta Schweblin, born in Buenos Aires in 1978, is an Argentine writer. Her story collection “Die Wahrheit über die Zukunft” received the Premio Casa de las Américas and the Juan Rulfo Prize in 2008. She was awarded the Premio de narrativa breve Ribera del Duero de España for “Sieben leere Häuser.” Her books have been translated into 25 languages, and she has been shortlisted twice for the International Booker Prize.
