Sabine Fellner

Sabine Fellner is an art historian, exhibition curator and author. She studied art history and history at the University of Vienna and the Sorbonne in Paris, earning a doctorate in 1987. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she worked as a curator at the Austrian Tobacco Museum and later for the collection of Austria Tabak and JTI. As an independent curator, she organized exhibitions on sociopolitical themes and Austrian art and cultural history, including “Der nackte Mann,” “Die bessere Hälfte. Jüdische Künstlerinnen bis 1938,” “Die Kraft des Alters” and “Stadt der Frauen.” Fellner has published extensively on everyday culture and on Austrian art of the 19th and 20th centuries.
