Rolf Schubert

Rolf Schubert was born in Munich and earned a doctorate in biochemistry from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. After postdoctoral work at Tübingen University Hospital’s Department of Surgery and a research stay in Los Angeles, he worked first as an assistant at Tübingen’s Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and later in pharmaceutical technology. Following his habilitation in the field, he was appointed in 1994 to the Chair of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Freiburg, succeeding Kurt Heinz Bauer. He has been retired since 2016.
