David Landes

David Landes, born in New York in 1924, was an American economic historian who taught at Harvard University until his retirement. His major works include “The Unbound Prometheus” (German edition 1973), “Revolution in Time: Clocks and the Making of a Modern World” (1983), and “The Wealth and Poverty of Nations” (1999). In 2006, he published “The Power of the Family: Economic Dynasties in World History”.
